Pleural Plaques Register
Pleural Thickening, Pleural Thickening Claims
At the National Asbestos Helpline we have established a national register for pleural plaques sufferers exposed in England and Wales. Sufferers exposed in Scotland and Ireland fall outside of the UK law jurisdiction although you are still welcome to join the register for health care information.
What are Pleural Plaques?
Plaques are small, localised areas of fibrosis caused by exposure to asbestos fibres, found within the pleura of the lung. The presence of pleural plaques is an indicator that a person has been exposed to asbestos.
Why join the register?
Joining the Pleural Plaques National Register enables us to provide you with updates to our services as well as the latest news and information. As a member of the register you will also have access to an extensive range of support services offered through our charitable partners.
What will happen after I join?
After joining the register we will help to establish your diagnosed condition, your employment history and your exposure to asbestos. With this information we will be able to act quickly on your behalf should your condition change.
No cost and no obligation
Our services are completely free of charge for pleural plaques sufferers exposed in England and Wales. By registering you are simply allowing us to keep you updated. Your registration is not an instruction for us to start a claim on your behalf.
